A PARENTS HELPER will assist the parent at home with childcare, housekeeping and daily tasks as requested by their employer. A PARENTS HELPER works under the direct supervision of their employer and is supervised daily by the parent. A new mom of twins may want an extra set of hands to help her care for the infants, do laundry and prepare meals for the family. The PARENTS HELPER will follow the guidance and directions of the employer.
Essential functions of the job may include:
- Running errands
- Cleaning the children's playroom
- Bathing and dressing the children
- Taking the children to the park and playing with them at the park
- Assisting in the preparation of dinner with food preparation
- Setting the table for dinner
- Washing the diapers and other children's laundry
- Playing board games with the older children
- Mopping the kitchen floor after a plate is broken
- Changing the baby's diapers when asked or needed
- Loading and Unloading the dishwasher
Minimum Requirements for a PARENTS HELPER:
- 1 year to 3 years previous experience working in a private home or similar capacity
- Professional References
- CRP and First Aide Certificate
- Trustline Registration
