Description: Sandy is an experienced Chef who once owned her own well known vegetarian café on Oahu’s North Shore, has had her own successful catering business and has cooked for top Hollywood celebrities. One of Sandy's greatest interests is the link between diet, health, and the environment. Sandy believes that healthy eating does not mean boring or simple, however. All that is required is a respect for seasonal, fresh, quality ingredients and variety. Growing from her experience with Pacific Rim cuisine is knowledge of how fresh; flavorful ingredients can combine to be sensuous, yet wholesome, healthy and even emotionally nourishing. Creative, exotic, flavorful and downright sinfully decadent but healthful creations are her trademarks. Her guiding principles are to support organic food production, small farmers, sustainable agriculture and ultimately in this manner the health of the environment and ourselves.
Education: Graduate from the University of California at Berkeley.
